[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 4878S Robinson PLC 18 March 2016  \n\n \n \n \n \nRobinson plc\n \nPRELIMINARY RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2015\n \nRobinson plc (\"Robinson\" or the \"Group\" stock code: RBN), the custom manufacturer of plastic and paperboard packaging based in Chesterfield, announces its results for the year ended 31 December 2015.\n \nHighlights:\n·           Revenue increased by 4% to £29.1 m (2014: £28.1m)\no  £2.4m reduction in underlying revenue due to foreign exchange movements and reduction in resin prices\n·           Madrox performance exceeded expectations adding £2.2m to pre tax profits\n·           Exceptional cost of £1.7m for enhanced Madrox earn out\n·           Net borrowings reduced by £3.0m to stand at £1.1m at the year end\n·          The Board is recommending an increased final dividend for the year of 3.00p per share (2014: 2.75p), raising the total dividend declared in respect of 2015 by 10% to 5.5p\nCommenting on the results, Chairman, Richard Clothier said:\n \n\"I am pleased to report that the Madrox business has performed ahead of expectations during the year resulting in an enhanced earn out. Management is committed to both organic growth in sales and operational efficiency and through these we expect to deliver further growth in revenue and earnings.\"\n \nAbout Robinson\nHeadquartered in Chesterfield, with manufacturing facilities in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Stanton Hill (Nottinghamshire) and Lodz and Warsaw (Poland), Robinson currently employs around 300 people. It was formerly a family business, with its origins dating back some 176 years. Today the Group's main activity is the manufacture and sale of injection moulded plastic packaging. Robinson operates primarily within the food, drink, confectionery, cosmetic and toiletry sectors, providing niche or custom manufacture to major players in the fast moving consumer goods market, such as Proctor & Gamble, McBride, SC Johnson, Sonoco, Bakkavor, British Pepper and Spice, Heinz, Two Sisters, Nestle, Avon, Reckitt Benckiser, Kraft, Quaker oats, ...
