[{"type":"text","content":"\n Robinson PLC\n30 January 2007\n\n\nFor Immediate Release 30 January 2006\n\n\n Robinson plc\n\n APPOINTMENT OF GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE AND BOARD CHANGES\n\nRobinson plc ('Robinson' or 'the Company'; stock code: RBN), the custom\nmanufacturer of paperboard and plastic packaging, announces the appointment of\nAdam Formela as Group Chief Executive with effect from 1 February 2007. Adam,\n(aged 46), started his career with Black & Decker rising to the rank of European\nDirector of Sales & Marketing before moving into general management with\nElectrolux and then Kenwood Appliances. He then moved to GRP Ltd, a Singapore\nlisted company as Group Chief Executive, before returning to Europe to work with\nAcco Brands Corporation as vice president of operations, business development\nand sales & marketing before becoming President of the Document Communication\ndivision.\n\nThe Company also announces that Jon Marx will relinquish his role as Group Chief\nExecutive with effect from that date but will remain an executive director of\nthe Company until his normal retirement date in June 2007, when he will retire\nfrom the Board.\n\nCommenting on these management changes, Richard Clothier, Robinson's Chairman,\nsaid:\n\n'We are delighted to welcome Adam to Robinson's Board. His international sales\nand marketing expertise will prove invaluable in driving the business forward\nand we wish him well in his new role.\n\n'I should like to thank Jon Marx for the substantial contribution he has made to\nthe Company during the past 4 years. He has begun several changes to the\nstructure and direction of the Group and leaves a more efficient base for his\nsuccessor to build on. Jon will be working closely with Adam over the next 5\nmonths to ensure an effective transition.'\n\nAdam is a director of NEW Energy Company Ltd (Ireland) involved in solar energy\nproducts and a director of a now dormant consultancy company (A.J.F.'s Big\nCompany Ltd).
