The contract, which is with the Transforming Learning Partnership (the Local Education Partnership appointed to deliver Salford City Council's BSF programme), is worth £5m to RM over three years, with an optional two-year extension. \nThe Salford Primary Managed Service project will provide and manage sophisticated ICT infrastructure for 76 primary schools in the City. The schools will receive a wide range of RM intellectual property, including Community Connect 4, Kaleidos Learning Platform, and the Honeycomb Web 2.0 learning environment. RM will also be responsible for day-to-day management of both the new infrastructure and the schools' legacy ICT systems.\nTerry Sweeney, Chief Executive of RM, said:\n\"It is great news that, following on from the Salford BSF programme, we have been given the opportunity to provide services for the City's primary schools.
