[{"type":"text","content":"\n RM PLC\n02 August 2007\n\n\n\n\n 2nd August 2007\n\n RM expands Assessment and Data Services Business through Asset Purchase\n\n\nRM announces that it has acquired the assets comprising the business known as\nSERAP from the University of Bath for a consideration of £580,000. SERAP\nprovides specialised educational data matching and reporting services for\nGovernment Departments & Agencies and Local Authorities. SERAP already works\nwith RM, providing services for the National Pupil Database - Achievement and\nAttainment Tables (NPD-AAT) contract.\n\nRM will acquire SERAP's existing contracts, along with the software, data and\nexpertise required to fulfil these contracts. Eight members of staff will\ntransfer to the RM Group under TUPE regulations. SERAP's assets will be\nintegrated into, and managed from, Forvus, the Group's specialist data services\ncompany.\n\nThe acquisition of SERAP significantly enhances RM's Assessment and Data\nServices business. SERAP provides additional relationships with exam boards and\nLocal Authorities, which are key customers for the Assessment and Data Services\nbusiness.\n\nCommenting on the acquisition, Tim Pearson, CEO of RM, said:\n\n'It's great to welcome the SERAP team to RM.
