[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 1727S RM PLC 06 September 2010  \n \n\n\n6 September 2010\n \nRM confirms three-year contract extension with South Lanarkshire Council\n \nRM confirms that it has reached financial close for a three-year extension to its contract to provide managed ICT services to educational establishments and libraries in South Lanarkshire. \n \nThe contract was originally announced in 2003 with a seven-year term and the option for a three-year extension. RM subsequently announced in March 2009 that that South Lanarkshire Council intended to extend the contract. The three-year extension, which is expected to be worth up to £14m to RM, means that the contract will now run until September 2013. \n \nUnder the contract extension, RM will continue to provide a complete managed ICT service to over 200 learning establishments in South Lanarkshire. The service includes the provision of computer systems and network connectivity, along with day-to-day support and management of the complete installation. In addition, the three-year extension includes an allowance for hardware 'refresh'.\n \nTerry Sweeney, Chief Executive of RM, said: \n \n\"South Lanarkshire Council's decision to extend this contract clearly demonstrates the value of developing long-term customer relationships. We've worked with South Lanarkshire Council for over a decade providing innovative and reliable ICT services for their educational establishments and libraries.
