[{"type":"text","content":"\n RM PLC\n07 November 2006\n\n\n 7 November 2006\n\n\n RM appointed preferred bidder for Leeds City Council Building Schools for the\n Future ICT Contract\n\nRM has been appointed by Leeds City Council as preferred bidder for the\nAuthority's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Strategic ICT Partner\ncontract. Leeds City Council's BSF programme will initially cover 14 schools,\nserving approximately 16,500 pupils.\n\nUnder the terms of the contract, RM will design, implement and deliver a\nsophisticated managed ICT service, including PC networks in each of the 14\nschools linked through a central data centre. As well as ICT infrastructure RM\nwill provide other services, including continuing professional development and\nstrategic ICT development advice, to Education Leeds, which provides Leeds City\nCouncil's frontline education service.\n\nCommenting on the contract, Tim Pearson, CEO of RM, said:\n\n'It's great news that Leeds City Council wants us to work with them as strategic\nICT partner for their BSF programme.
