[{"type":"text","content":"\n RM PLC\n07 April 2008\n\n\n\n 7 April 2008\n\n\n RM acquires stake in specialist education resources provider Inclusive\n Technology\n\n\nRM announces that, on 4 April 2008, it acquired a 25% stake in Inclusive\nTechnology Ltd for a cash consideration of £1m. Inclusive Technology is one of\nthe UK's leading suppliers of special educational needs (SEN) and early years\nproducts and services. This investment brings further strength to RM's growing\neducation resources business and complements the Group's existing SEN\nactivities: Special Direct and SpaceKraft.\n\nInclusive Technology is the UK market leader in the supply of SEN software,\ncomputer access devices, simple communication aids and assistive technology for\nlearners with physical disabilities, sensory impairments or learning\ndifficulties.\n\nInclusive Technology's revenue in the year to June 2007 was £5.4m, with adjusted\noperating profit of £480k.\n\n\nCommenting on the acquisition, Tim Pearson, CEO of RM, said:\n\n'At a time when the BSF programme is driving significant investment in SEN\nfacilities for new and refurbished schools, our alliance with Inclusive\nTechnology is particularly valuable - bringing unique products and expertise, as\nwell as a much closer association with the market leader.'\n\n'It's also great news for our growing education resources business. We've\nalready established a good position in the SEN market through our Special Direct\nbusiness and the recent acquisition of SpaceKraft.
