[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nKIRKLAND LAKE, ON, April 2 /CNW/ - RJK Explorations Ltd. (RJX.A: TSXV)\n("RJK") is pleased to announce that it has completed a helicopter-borne Tri\nAxial Mounted Gradiometer Survey of the Dorion South property in the Magma\nMetals Platinum-Palladium Discovery Camp, 60 km northeast of Thunder Bay.\n\n\nThe initial field data indicates that there are several extensive areas\nof high magnetic signals within the claim group, one of which corresponds to 3\nshort (averaging 135 foot depth) and widely spaced drill holes drilled in 1965\nwhich had intersected and ended in peridotite and containing chalcopyrite\nspecks (from OJA Exploration Drill Management Diamond Drill Logs, October\n1965). A map showing the final airborne data will be posted on the Company's\nwebsite once it is received.\n\n\nBased on these magnetic results, RJK has contracted Geotech Inc. to fly\ntheir VTEM Time Domain EM System over the property to help locate discrete\nconductive anomalies and map lateral and vertical variations in resistivity.\nRJK is extremely encouraged by the survey and the historic drill results which\nmay represent areas of mafic-ultramafic intrusions that have the potential to\nhost Ni-Cu-PGM deposits similar to the Magma Metals discovery located\napproximately 19 km west of RJK's property or other magmatic deposits such as\nKennecott Explorations' "Eagle Deposit", a Ni-Cu-PGM deposit located in a\nsmall Keweenawan Peridotite intrusion on the south side of Lake Superior. The\nEagle deposit contains an indicated resource of 3.6Mt of 3.8% Ni, 3.0% Cu.\n1.6g/t Pt+Pd+Au.\n\n\nThe majority of the Magma Metals drilling results to date have been in\ndisseminated sulphide mineralization; however, recent drilling has encountered\nmassive sulphides... i.e. "a subtle magnetic anomaly between the Current Lake\nand Beaver Lake areas. The western end of this anomaly is coincident with\nnet-textured and massive sulphides intersected in drill-hole TBND136 which\nreturned 6.0m @ 11.62g/t Pt+Pd, 2.19% Cu & 0.92% Ni, including 0.65m @\n38.00g/t Pt+Pd, 8.90% Cu & 1.29% Ni" (from Magma Metals Limited News Release,\ndated March 19, 2009).\n\n\nRJK considers the Magma Metals Platinum-Palladium Thunder Bay North\nDiscovery to be one of the more significant discoveries in Ontario over the\nlast few years. The length of ...
