[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTORONTO, Feb. 28 /CNW/ - (RMD-TSXV) Richmond Minerals announces it has\nbegun a 1,500 meter drill program on its 100% owned Triple Lake exploration\nproject, located 30 km south of Timmins, Ontario. The drill program will\nconcentrate on the CF-1 and CF-2 properties to test 2 airborne EM clusters\nlocated by a recent Megatem II survey completed by the Ontario Geological\nSurvey in conjunction with Geological Survey of Canada. Additional\nelectromagnetic anomalies, obtained from Richmond's October 2007 ground\nfollow-up program, will also be tested.\n\n\nThe EM clusters were located by a Megatem II survey completed by the OGS\nin conjunction with GSC and the data was released April 17, 2007. The airborne\ndata indicated two previously unknown anomalous areas. Examination of records\nheld by the Timmins Mining office indicates these areas have not been drill\ntested nor subject to intensive investigation. The two anomalous clusters were\nstaked as two separate blocks and then recorded on Friday, April 20, 2007.\n\n\nRichmond Minerals optioned the project in October and commenced an\nexploration program of line cutting and ground geophysics. Total field\nmagnetic, VLF-electromagnetic and horizontal loop electromagnetic surveys were\nperformed.\n\n\nDuring the geophysical program mineralized outcrop and float were\nencountered on both properties. On the CF-1 property, 8 grab samples were\ntaken from mineralized outcrops. Copper values ranging from 252ppm copper to\n1484ppm were obtained. One sample was taken from outcrop on the CF-2 property.\nThe sample returned 6052ppm (0.6%) copper and 191ppb gold.\n\n\nDrilling results will be released on an ongoing basis.\n\n\nWarren Hawkins, P.Eng in his capacity as Qualified Person under National\nInstrument 43-101 has reviewed the contents of this news release.
