Gitennes' TotoRoko copper-silver-gold project - update.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, July 30 /CNW/ - Gitennes Exploration Inc. (TSX-GIT) is pleased\nto report that on-going exploration at the Company's TotoRoko Property\ncontinues to return highly encouraging results. Highlights include:\n\n\n- New zones of copper, gold and silver mineralization found;\n- Cantana, a cross-cutting silver-gold structure, returning up to\n 1,230 g/t silver and 3.26 g/t gold;\n- Lomas Orjo, a further extension of the zone of outcropping secondary\n copper mineralization to the southeast;\n- Multiple parallel zones of alteration, mineralization and brecciation\n found, target width increases.\n\n\nMineralization at TotoRoko spatially associated with igneous intrusive\nrocks that occur along major faults related to the continent-scale Incapuquio\n(Peru) - West Fissure (Chile) fault. A 4,500-metre long, northwest-striking\npanel of strongly magnetic, metasomatized and altered Jurassic-age Guaneros\nFormation and younger intrusive rocks is host to stockwork and disseminated\ncopper-silver-gold mineralization (oxidized after primary sulphide\nminerals).These panels are also cut obliquely by narrower silicified and\nbarite-rich vein-like structures mineralized with gold and silver (Cantana).\nThe relationship between the two differing styles of mineralization is not\ncertain. However it is possible that they are both related to a highly\nevolved, concealed porphyry system at depth.\n\n\nExploration is focusing upon the south-eastern 2,200 metres of this\nmineralized panel where mineralization and alteration is strongest. Here, two\nareas of copper-bearing basaltic andesite flows, andesitic tuffs and breccias,\nand diorite intrusive rocks are being mapped and sampled. In this area, Cerro\nTotoRoko marks a 1,300-metre long by 200-metre wide zone in the northwest, and\nLomas Orjo marks a 700-metre long by 400-metre wide zone to the southeast.\nBoth zones show signs of strong shearing, argillic alteration, brecciation and\nstrong fracturing.\n\n\nNew sampling results (chip-channel and grab) from mineralized outcrops at\nLomas Orjo include:\n\n\n--------------------------------\nLength Cu % Ag g/t\n--------------------------------\n5 metres 1.5 9\n--------------------------------\n18 metres 0.3 5\n--------------------------------\n20 metres 0.2 2\n--------------------------------\n23 metres 0.9 9\n---------------------------...
