[{"type":"text","content":"\n Radstone Technology PLC\n03 August 2006\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 3rd August 2006\n\n\n\n Radstone Technology PLC ('Radstone')\n\n\n Contract Win\n\n\n Thales UK Selects Radstone For Watchkeeper Program\n\n\n\nRadstone Technology, the world's leading independent supplier of\nhigh-performance, embedded computer products for defence and aerospace\napplications, announces today that the company has been selected by Thales UK to\nprovide a real time data processor (RTDP) subsystem for Watchkeeper, a complete,\nintegrated surveillance solution for the UK's armed forces. The RTDP accepts\ncompressed video from the Watchkeeper unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), processes\nit and distributes it to supervisory consoles within the ground control system.\n\n\nTotal value of the order to Radstone is in excess of £1 million. Development\nwill commence immediately and deliveries will begin during 2008.\n\n\nWatchkeeper is the UK Ministry of Defence's unmanned aerial vehicle program,\nwhich will provide the UK armed forces with essential Intelligence,\nSurveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) capability, and will\nbe a key component of the UK's drive for Network Enabled Capability (NEC).\n\nJeff Perrin, Radstone Technology's Chief Executive, commented:\n\n\n\"We're delighted to receive this award from Thales UK.
