[{"type":"text","content":"\n Rentokil Initial PLC\n03 November 2006\n\nRentokil Initial plc\n\n3 November 2006\n\n France Regulatory Inquiry\n\n\nInitial BTB SA, a Rentokil Initial subsidiary operating in the washroom services\nand linen and garment rental market in France, has recently received a Statement\nof Objections from the French Competition Council (Conseil de la Concurrence)\nalleging that certain of the company's activities in a period between 1997 and\n2002 have infringed French competition laws.\n\nRentokil Initial's policy has been and remains to conduct its business in full\ncompliance with all applicable competition laws. BTB intends to continue to\nco-operate in all respects with the Council's inquiries. The next step is for\nBTB to study the Statement of Objections and accompanying documents before\nproviding a written response to the Council.\n\nBefore reaching any conclusion on the case, the Council's investigation will\ninvolve a number of additional procedural stages and therefore it is unlikely\nthat the Council will reach any decision before sometime in 2007 at the\nearliest.
