St. Michael's Hospital has purchased a license for the Medworxx Bed\nOptimization System, along with additional services. They are expecting to\nstreamline the bed management process by centralizing the bed management\ninformation in one system and facilitating communication.\n\n\nThe Medworxx Bed Optimization System (BOS) improves patient flow by\nproviding a real-time clinical status of beds and resources with a view to\nestablishing efficiencies in bed management as well as managing specific bed\nequipment requirements, and availability of acute, rehabilitation, continuing\ncare or long-stay beds.\n\n\n"We look forward to being able to identify available beds based on\npatient requirements criteria, and to improve the flow of patients throughout\nthe hospital, including admissions from the Emergency Department and inter\nunit transfers," said Anne Trafford, Chief Information Officer, St. Michael's\nHospital.
