FRANKFURT: A0BLQQ
EDMONTON, July 19 /CNW/ - Solid Resources Ltd. announces that it has
received additional assay results for holes three through seven from its
drilling program on the Doade Presqueira Property in Spain. Results for holes
one and two were reported previously. Management continues to be encouraged
by the grades identified in the assay results and continues to expect
positive results as exploration progresses. The size of the property which
contains a 14 km long, 600m wide belt of pegamites is another important
reason for Management's positive expectations. The Pegamites and the
surrounding Schist contain substantial amounts of Tin and various rare metals
including Lithium, Tantalum, Cesium, and Rubidium.
The drill program was carried out in the Presqueira area (the northern
end of the property). Stacked Pegmatite structures were intersected by each
hole. Sampling was carried out on the intersected Pegmatites as well as some
of the schist surrounding each structure. It is important to note that the
Lithium assays range to in excess of 10,000 parts per million (20 lbs. per
ton) which is the maximum limit of the assay technique employed.
The assay results follow below. To assist the reader in interpreting the
data, conversions of grades from parts per million (ppm) are as follows:
<<
10,000 ppm (equal sign) 1.0 % (equal sign) 20 lbs per ton
5,000 ppm (equal sign) 0.50% (equal sign) 10 lbs per ton
2,500 ppm (equal sign) 0.25% (equal sign) 5 lbs per ton
1,000 ppm (equal sign) 0.10% (equal sign) 2 lbs per ton
500 ppm (equal sign) 0.05% (equal sign) 1 lb per ton
1 ppm (equal sign) 1 gram per metric tonne

Visual field mineral identification has been carried out. The pegmatites
are albite-mica-quartz. Tantalum occurs in the pegmatite as Tantalum oxide and
possibly as Niobium-Tantalite. Tin occurs in the pegmatite as cassiterite, a
Tin oxide. Lithium occurs as spodumene often altering into Kunzite. However,
at the contact between the pegmatite and the schists, lepidolite, a mica
mineral of Lithium, is present. The minerals in the pegmatite within which the
Rubidium and Cesium occur have not been identified.
The drilling program, sampling, and shipments of samples were conducted
under the direction of Rolf Burkhardt, Phd. Geol., the company's Manager of
Field Exploration. The assays were performed by ALS Chemex of North Vancouver,
British Columbia, Canada. The Lithium assays were conducted with analytical
procedure ME-ICP61a. The Cesium assays were conducted utilizing ME-MS61.
Assays of the other metals were conducted utilizing ME-XRF05.
