("RS") (RS - TSX / RSSYF -\nOTCBB), a developer of innovative advanced material products, announced that\nits RStandard(TM) modular composite utility poles were selected for Southern\nCalifornia Edison's "Circuit of the Future", the most advanced neighborhood\nelectricity circuit in the United States. The "Circuit of the Future" was\nfeatured in the NY Times on-line edition on October 16, 2007.\n\n\nSouthern California Edison (SCE), the largest electric utility in\nCalifornia, designed and installed this circuit using industry leading\ntechnology to give customers surer electricity service, fewer outages with\nfaster service restoration and lower future costs than would otherwise occur.\n\n\nRStandard composite utility poles were among the several advanced\ntechnologies used in this pioneering project, which recently began delivering\npower to Southern California Edison's customers.\n\n\n"We selected the Resin Systems product because it is lighter and\ntherefore can be installed much faster, reducing customer outage time," said\nJames A. Kelly, SCE vice president for engineering. "And the fact that these\ninnovative poles are built in segments means they are easier for our crews to\nmove to work sites."\n\n\nBecause RStandard utility poles' are made with advanced materials and a\nunique design, they provide benefits that old-style wooden utility poles\ncannot. Some of the benefits they provide are non-conductivity, lightweight\nmodular construction, reduced labor and associated equipment costs, reduced\nmaintenance costs and increased pole maneuverability and handling.\n\n\n"We are pleased that our technology is an integral part of this next\ngeneration electricity circuit," said Paul Giannelia, president and chief\nexecutive officer of RS. "As North America modernizes its electric\ninfrastructure, we intend for RStandard utility poles to be an important part\nof that process."\n\n\nAbout Southern California Edison\n\n\nAn Edison International (NYSE:EIX) company, Southern California Edison is\nthe largest electric utility in California, serving a population of more than\n13 million via 4.8 milli...
