(\"Quest\" or \"the Company\")\nannounces that it has signed a clinical trial agreement with Innovaderm\nResearch (Montreal, Quebec) to initiate human clinical studies on its topical\nphotodynamic product ACP-SL017 targeting the areas of hair removal and acne.\nThis planned study will be in addition to the Phase I clinical trial of ACP-\nSL017 for photodynamic therapy of Actinic Keratosis (\"AK\"), which is currently\nunderway. The planned study is designed to evaluate the histological\nlocalization of ACP-SL017 after topical application to patients with acne.\nQuest PharmaTech and Innovaderm Research will prepare a submission to Health\nCanada for approval of this study in the immediate future.\n\"We have preliminary evidence to suggest that SL017 may act beneficially\nin several dermatological conditions\" said Quest Vice President of Drug\nDevelopment, Thomas Woo \"If we can prove this in a formal clinical setting,\nthen clearly this would be a very positive addition to our developmental\npipeline.\"\nThe Company continues to aggressively seek investment capital to sustain\nlong term development. In the meantime, it will only deploy its resources to\nthose programs which it considers have the best possibility of bringing near-\nterm value to the Company. Consistent with this strategy the Company has\nsuspended those development programs that do not directly support the ACP-\nSL017 trials. Focus has been placed on the AK trial, acne/hair removal\nprograms, the preparation of a regulatory submission for the treatment of\nprostate cancer and selection of the lead compound for the Company's\nsonodynamic technology (ultrasound activation). Data from AK, acne and hair\nremoval will be available in the first quarter of 2006. As a result of this\nfocused strategy the company has terminated 5 employees.\n\nAbout Innovaderm Research Inc.\n\nInnovaderm Research Inc. is a contract research organization that\nspecializes in dermatological research and clinical studies, with extensive\nexpertise in acne research and photodynamic therapy.
