[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 5615G Quintain Estates & Development PLC 13 May 2011  \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n13 May 2011\n \nQuintain Estates and Development plc\n(\"Quintain\" / \"Company\" / \"Group\")\n \nQuintain Wins Resolution to grant planning consent for Wembley City North West lands\n \n·      Quintain secures resolution to grant consent for 160,000m2 (1.7m ft2) mixed-use development at Wembley City\n·      Quintain will transform the land alongside Olympic Way, the famous route into Wembley Stadium\n·      Its plans will create a stunning new surrounding for Brent Council's new Civic Centre, and up to 1,300 homes centred around a one-acre public square\n·      Upgrading of much of Olympic Way, the famous pedestrian route into Wembley Stadium\n·      A new shopping street with anchor store, to complement the London Designer Outlet, will reinvigorate Wembley as a retail and leisure destination\n·      The new consent will be delivered in parallel with Quintain's existing plans for 6.4m sq ft of mixed-use accommodation on land surrounding the National Stadium.\n \n \nQuintain Estates and Development PLC's transformation of Wembley City took a major step forward last night as Brent Council resolved to grant consent for the next phase of development.\n \nLocated opposite Wembley Arena and bordering the new Brent Civic Centre the new Wembley City north-west neighbourhood will deliver 1,300 new homes, shops and affordable workspace as well as leisure, community facilities and open spaces.  The development's focal point will be a one-acre publicly accessible square, located behind the Civic Centre.
