[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 1525K PureTech Health PLC 27 August 2019 \n\n27 August 2019 \n \nPureTech Health plc - Half-Year Report\n \nTransformational momentum in the first half of 2019 positions PureTech for continued growth\n \nStrong cash position of $149.2 million on a parent company level supports existing pipeline through first quarter of 2022 \n \nAffiliates well-positioned financially, having raised $322.8 million in the first half of 2019\n \nPureTech Health plc (LSE: PRTC) (\"PureTech Health,\" \"PureTech,\" or \"the Company\"), today announces its half-yearly results for the six months ended 30 June 2019.\n \nPureTech, which is comprised of PureTech Health plc and its affiliates1 (together, \"the Group\"), is a clinical stage biotechnology company discovering, developing and commercialising highly differentiated medicines for devastating diseases, including intractable cancers, lymphatic and gastrointestinal diseases, central nervous system disorders, and inflammatory and immunological diseases, among others. The Company has created a broad and deep pipeline through the expertise of its experienced research and development team and its extensive network of scientists, clinicians and industry leaders. This pipeline, which is being advanced both internally and through PureTech's affiliates, is comprised of 24 product candidates and one product that has been cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). All of the underlying programmes and platforms that resulted in this pipeline of product candidates were initially identified or discovered and then advanced by the PureTech team through key validation points based on the Company's unique insights into the biology of the brain, immune, and gut, or BIG, systems and the interface between those systems, referred to as the BIG Axis. \n \n1) Unless the context specifically indicates otherwise, references in this report to \"affiliates\" refer to the entities that PureTech founded and in which PureTech continues to hold equity.
