[{"type":"text","content":"\n Provexis PLC\n23 January 2006\n\n\n PROVEXIS PLC\n ('Provexis' or the 'Company')\n\n Significant Increase in Number of Distribution Outlets for SircoTM\n\nProvexis, the nutraceutical company that develops scientifically-proven\nfunctional and medical foods, announces a significant increase in the number of\ndistribution outlets for its SircoTM heart health juice drink, under the terms\nof its most recent distribution agreement with a market leading supermarket\nchain.\n\nFurther to the Company's announcement of 9 January 2006 detailing its third\ndistribution agreement, SircoTM will now be available in 550 of this retailer's\nstores from 30 January 2006, representing an increase of 350 outlets. Sirco is\nnow available in 211 Sainsbury's stores and will be available in 123 Waitrose\nstores from 23 January 2006. This will bring the total UK distribution base for\nSirco to 884 stores by the end of January 2006.\n\nSircoTM is the first heart health product to contain the patented FruitflowTM\ntechnology. FruitflowTM was developed by Provexis in order to help regular\n'healthy' consumers reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. The natural\nbioactive works by reducing blood platelet aggregation ('thinning the blood'), a\nsignificant contributing factor to a thrombosis (internal blood clot). SircoTM\ncarries the health claim 'Helps to Maintain a Healthy Heart and Benefits\nCirculation' and is approved by the leading heart health charity, HEART UK.\n\nCommenting on the expanded distribution, Dr Stephen Franklin, CEO of Provexis,\nsaid:\n\n'We are delighted to have received this substantial increased commitment from\nthe third major retailer prior to the date of its planned launch.
