(Nasdaq: PRVA) today announced financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022. Total revenue for the first quarter of 2022 was $313.8 million, compared to total revenue of $213.6 million for the prior year first quarter (+46.9%). Operating loss for the first quarter of 2022 was $11.5 million, compared to operating income of $7.9 million for the prior year first quarter. Net loss for the first quarter of 2022 was $17.5 million, or a loss of $0.16 per share, compared to net income of $5.4 million, or $0.06 per share, for the first quarter of 2021. Net loss for the first quarter of 2022 included $24.9 million in non-cash stock compensation expense and $0.3 million in other non-recurring expenses. Net loss for the first quarter of 2021 included $0.1 million in non-cash stock compensation expense and $1.5 million in other non-recurring expenses. Non-GAAP adjusted net income was $14.8 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2022, compared to $9.2 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, for the prior year first quarter (+61.3%).
