[{"type":"text","content":"\n CSS Stellar PLC\n16 May 2006\n\n\n\nFor Immediate Release 16 May 2006\n\n\n CSS Stellar plc\n \n ('CSS' or 'the Group')\n \n Annual General Meeting Statement\n \n \n\nCSS Stellar plc, the entertainment and sports management and marketing group,\nheld its Annual General meeting at 9.30am today at which time Peter Owen,\nChairman, updated shareholders on current trading.\n\n\n'Overall trading across the Group in the first four months of this year was in\nline with the Board's expectations. The Events and Talent Management divisions\nperformed in line with expectations with the Events Division again having had a\ngood start to the year. The Marketing Division, which underwent significant\nchanges in 2005, has stabilised since the turn of the year.\n\n\nOur Talent Management division has had some notable successes so far in 2006. In\nEntertainment, Anna Maxwell Martin recently won the BAFTA for Best Actress for\nBleak House, the BBC Television drama serial. The Sports division has signed\nFormula One driver Tiago Monteiro, who showed significant potential in his debut\nyear in 2005; in Golf, our strategy of building a profitable representation\nbusiness is beginning to bear fruit, as two of our clients, Francesco Molinari\nand Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, secured victories on the European Tour within the\npast month.\n\n\nOur Marketing Division, having undergone major structural changes in the latter\npart of 2005, is now based wholly in North America, and continues to work with\n\nmajor clients such as Diageo, GE and NBC.\n\n\nOur central overhead cost base has been further reduced in 2006 as the Group\ncontinues to achieve cost savings where possible. The Board is now primarily\nfocused on maximizing shareholder value through opportunities closely aligned\nwith the entertainment industry.'\n\n\nAll of the resolutions proposed at the Annual General Meeting were approved,\nincluding those relating to the sub-division and reduction of the share capital,\nas outlined in the report and financial statements for the year ended 31\nDecember 2005.
