[{"type":"text","content":"\n Premier Foods plc\n21 January 2008\n\n\n\nPremier Foods plc (the 'Company')\n\nBoard Appointments\n\n\nThe Company is delighted to announce the appointments of Christine Cross and\nDavid Beever as non-executive directors and also the appointment of Suzanne Wise\nas General Counsel and Company Secretary with effect from 21 January 2008.\n\n\n\nChristine Cross\n\nChristine is an independent advisor in retail management having previously spent\nfourteen years at Tesco plc in a number of senior management roles including\nGroup Business Development Director. Prior to this she was a lecturer in food\nand nutrition at Edinburgh and Bath Universities. Christine is currently a\nnon-executive director of Next plc and Sobeys Inc (Canada) as well as Retail\nAdvisor to Apax Partners Venture Capital and Private Equity and a member of the\nPWC Advisory Panel. She will also become a member of the Remuneration Committee.\n\n\n\nDavid Beever\n\nDavid is a non-executive director of JJB Sports plc, Volex Group plc and The\nParagon Group of Companies plc and until December 2007 was Deputy Chairman of\nLondon and Continental Railways. David is a member of the KPMG Advisory Board\nhaving spent 10 years as Chairman of KPMG Corporate Finance. He was previously\nVice Chairman of SG Warburg & Co Ltd. David will also become a member of the\nAudit Committee.\n\n\n\nSuzanne Wise\n\nSuzanne has extensive in-house legal experience gained within the listed company\nenvironment and joins the Company from Gallaher Group plc where she held the\nposition of Group Head of Legal.
