Meyer and his wife, Dr. Kathryn R. \n Meyer to their Scientific Advisory Board effective immediately. Dr. & \n Dr. Meyer will report to the co-founder and Chairman of the Scientific \n Advisory Board, Dr. Mitchell S. Felder, MD, and to the President and \n CEO, William A. Hartman.\n \n \n Carl E. Meyer, DO, MBA, is a pediatrician and a Fellow of the American \n Academy of Pediatrics. He has been a practicing pediatrician for 35 \n years, initially in solo practice in Greenville, PA, and currently with \n Hope Pediatrics in Seneca, PA. He received his undergraduate degree from \n Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, and his Doctor of Osteopathic \n Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.\n \n \n Dr. Carl Meyer spent many years on staff at University of Pennsylvania \n Medical Center (UPMC) Horizon as a general pediatrician, Chair of the \n Department of Pediatrics, and President of the Medical Staff. He also \n served as Medical Director of Quality and Risk Management for three \n years, earning his MBA from Alvernia College in Reading, PA to enhance \n his work in Medical Quality. As a pediatrician, Dr. Carl Meyer has \n participated in over 75 clinical research studies in childhood \n immunizations, and has authored a book on child care and contributed \n material for books and newspapers. He has been a clinical instructor for \n several medical schools and physician assistant programs for many years.\n \n \n Kathryn Meyer, DO, is an Emergency Physician, certified by the American \n Academy of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians. She received her \n undergraduate degree from Penn State University and her Doctor of \n Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic \n Medicine. She is currently Medical Director of the University of \n Pennsylvania Medical Center (UPMC) Hermitage Urgent Care Center in \n Hermitage, PA. Prior to that, she practiced Emergency Medicine at UPMC \n Horizon for 30 years.\n \n \n During her career, Dr. Kathryn Meyer has been the Medical Director of \n local ambulance companies. She served as Assistant Medical Director of \n Emergency Medicine for UPMC Horizon for 15 years and was appointed to \n Medical Staff committees for Medical Care and Risk Management. She ha...
