[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 1325L Powerhouse Energy Group PLC 27 July 2011  \n\n27 July 2011\nPowerHouse Energy Group plc\n(\"PowerHouse\", the \"Group\" or the \"Company\")\n \n             SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE REACHED AS PYROMEX WASTE-TO-ENERGY \n                         PLANT PRODUCES SYNGAS IN MUNICH, GERMANY\n \n            Key operational milestone moves focus to contracted sales\n \nPowerHouse Energy Group plc, (AIM: PHE) an alternative energy business specialising in the sale of zero-emission waste to energy equipment systems, announces the successful generation of syngas from the 25 ton per day Pyromex zero emission, ultra-high temperature gasification (UHTG) plant in Munich, Germany. PowerHouse expects the completion of this first commercial facility will lead to the finalisation of the four sales it already has under contract as well as advancing several prospective sales in the near future.\nPowerHouse secured its manufacturing and marketing licence for this technology from Pyromex AG (\"Pyromex\"), a Swiss company in which the Company has a 30 per cent. interest, in 2010.  \nThe Pyromex plant, which is located at a commercial waste transfer station close to Munich International Airport, is the result of a twelve year, multi-million dollar development programme and is scheduled to be commissioned for full commercial operation following a trial operation period, envisaged to be completed in the next three months.\nThereafter, it is intended that the 25 ton per day UHTG reactor will be fitted with a reciprocating engine-generator unit and as a consequence will supply 1.3MW of electrical power to the main electricity grid, an important further operational milestone.\nThe Pyromex system uses feedstock from municipal waste (refuse derived fuel) and converts the waste to synthesized gas (\"syngas\") with no emissions or harmful residues. Syngas can be used as fuel to drive an engine or turbine for electrical power generation, or through a subsequent process, it can be reformed as a cleaner diesel or jet fuel.\nThe completion of this first commercial facility will also allow PowerHo...
