[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nMONTREAL, May 9 /CNW Telbec/ - The Board of Directors of Power\nCorporation of Canada today appointed Mr. Robert Gratton as Deputy Chairman of\nthe Board.\n\n\nMr. Gratton served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of\nPower Financial Corporation's subsidiary, Montreal Trust, from 1982 to 1989.\nHe was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Power Financial in 1990,\nand was executive Chairman of the Power Financial Board from May, 2005 until\nMay 8, 2008, when he announced his retirement. He continues to be a member of\nPower Financial's Board of Directors.\n\n\nCommenting on his appointment as Deputy Chairman, Mr. Gratton said that\nhe looks forward to his ongoing association with the Power group and that\nshareholders of Power Corporation and Power Financial Corporation can count on\nhis continuing interest in and support of the group companies and their\nmanagement.\n\n\nELECTION OF A NEW DIRECTOR\n\n\n--------------------------\n\n\nAt their meeting today the shareholders elected Raymond McFeetors to the\nBoard of Directors.
