[{"type":"text","content":"\n Porvair PLC\n30 January 2007\n\n\nFor immediate release 30 January 2007\n\n\n Porvair plc\n\n\n ('Porvair' or 'the Company')\n\n\n Appointment of Executive Director\n\n\nThe Board of Porvair plc ('Porvair') is pleased to announce the appointment of\nDr John Sexton as an Executive Director with effect from 29 January 2007.\n\n\nDr John Sexton, 55, is the Managing Director of the Porvair Filtration Group. Dr\nSexton joined the Group with its acquisition of Filters for Industry Ltd in\n2001, and has since then led the Porvair Filtration Group. Prior to setting up\nFilters for Industry Ltd, he held a number of posts within the Fairey\norganisation. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of The Institute of\nMechanical Engineers.\n\n\nThe Group confirms that there are no further matters to be disclosed pursuant to\nthe requirements of paragraph LR 9.6.13 R of the Listing Rules.\n\n\nChairman, Charles Matthews, said:\n\n'We are pleased to welcome Dr John Sexton to the Board. He has been very\nsuccessful in his leadership of the Porvair Filtration Group.
