Additional Intellectual Property Licences
Porvair PLC

Announces two additional intellectual property licences
Porvair plc, the advanced materials Group, today announces the
addition of two royalty based intellectual property licences,
both at early stages of commercial development, to its
materials technology portfolio.
CMZP, licensed from a US academic institution, is a unique
ceramic formulation that will enhance Porvair's existing
MicromassTM ceramic technology, which produces ceramic parts
for a variety of applications, such as kiln furniture and
catalytic media, at a fraction of the weight of conventional
products.
ZtEd, licensed from a South African manufacturer, is a
proprietary advanced ceramic with extremely low expansion and
contraction characteristics that make it particularly suitable
in various molten metals handling applications.
Commenting on these licences, Ben Stocks, Chief Executive of
Porvair plc said :
The two royalty based licences announced today are in the
early stages of commercial development, and will be brought to
market by our advanced ceramics subsidiary, Selee Corp. We
have been developing technology licences through 1999 as a
means of enhancing and exploiting our materials technology
portfolio. We envisage further licensing activity in the
coming year which, underpinned by satisfactory trading in
1999, will position us encouragingly for 2000 and beyond.
