[{"type":"text","content":"\n Portmeirion Group PLC\n20 March 2006\n\n\n\n Portmeirion Group plc (the 'Company')\n\n Additional Listing & Directors/PDMR Share Dealings\n\n\nAdditional listing\n\nApplication has been made for 41,800 ordinary shares of 5p each ('Ordinary\nShares') (fully paid ranking pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares) to\ntrading on AIM. These Ordinary Shares have been issued pursuant to the exercise\nof options (under the 1997 Approved Share Option Plan) over Ordinary Shares.\n\n\nIt is expected that admission to trading on AIM will become effective and that\ndealings will commence in the 41,800 Ordinary Shares on 24 March 2006\n('Admission'). Following Admission the issued share capital of the Company will\nbe 10,463,030.\n\n\nTransaction in own shares\n\nThe Company also announces that, pursuant to its general authority granted by\nshareholders of the Company on 16 May 2005 to make market purchases of its\nOrdinary Shares, the Company today made on market purchases of 51,800 Ordinary\nShares at 220p per share (all of which are to be held as treasury shares),\nrepresenting 0.52 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.\n\n\nOf these shares, 41,800 were purchased from the following directors and persons\ndischarging managerial responsibility ('PDMR') who exercised share options on 20\nMarch 2006:\n\nDirector/PDMR # shares issued % shareholding following\n pursuant to exercise this transaction\n of options\nB Phillips (Finance 5,800 0.11%\nDirector)\nA Ralley (Chairman) 16,000 0.20%\nR Casey (Information 10,000 0.00%\nSystems and Logistics\nDirector *)\nJ Teed (Creative 10,000 0.03%\nDirector *) -------------- -----------------\nTotal 41,800\n\n\n* Non Main Board management positions\n\n\nThe Company now holds 592,218 Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total number\nof Ordinary Shares in issue less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in\ntreasury following the purchase and non-cancellation of such Ordinary Shares is\n9,870,812 Ordinary Shares.
