[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nHAMILTON, ON, Feb. 21 /CNW/ - Dofasco Inc. announces today that,\nfollowing the take-up at midnight (EST) on February 20, 2006 of 88.38% of the\ncorporation's common shares by Arcelor S.A., six members of Dofasco's Board of\nDirectors have resigned at Arcelor's request. The board has accepted the\nresignations of William E. Coyne, William A. Etherington, Dezso J. Horvath,\nFrank H. Logan, Thomas C. O'Neill, and Brian A. Robbins.\nThese board members have been replaced by six new directors nominated by\nArcelor: Michel Wurth, Paul Matthys, Jacques Chabanier, Christophe Cornier,\nBruno LeForestier and GDerard Dupouy. They join the remaining members of the\nprevious board: Sylvia D. Chrominska, Roger G. Doe, Brian F. MacNeill,\nPeter C. Maurice, and Donald A. Pether. Mr. MacNeill continues as the Chair of\nthe Board.\n\nEstablished in 1912, Dofasco is a leading North American steel solutions\nprovider. Product lines include hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized,\nExtragal(TM), Galvalume(TM), and tinplate flat rolled steels, as well as\ntubular products, laser-welded blanks and Zyplex(TM), a proprietary laminate.\nDofasco's wide range of steel products is sold to customers in the automotive,\nconstruction, energy, manufacturing, pipe and tube, appliance, packaging and\nsteel distribution industries.
