[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nHousing Authorities Risk Retention Pool (HARRP) Offers Safe-T-element to\nits Members And applies for a $750,000 grant from the Department of\nHomeland Security\n\n\nVANCOUVER, WA, June 16 /CNW/ - Pioneering Technology Corp. of\nMississauga, Ontario (TSX-V: PTE), ("Pioneering") announced today that the\nHousing Authorities Risk Retention Pool ("HARRP") has endorsed the\nSafe-T-element for use by its Housing Authority members. HARRP has partnered\nwith Pioneering to provide a bulk rate purchasing coalition which it will\npromote to the members of its pool.\n\n\nIn addition, HARRP has applied for a $750,000 Federal Emergency\nManagement (FEMA) Fire Prevention and Safety Grant through the Department of\nHomeland Security (DHS) to further support this program.\n\n\nHARRP is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)\napproved insurance entity. HARRP is a self-insured liability program that\nprovides property and casualty coverage for over 90 Public Housing Authorities\nand administers claims in-house. Approximately 47,000 owned housing units and\n150,000 Section 8 housing units have coverage through the pool. The total\nvalue insured under the program is approximately $5 billion. The member\nhousing authorities are in Washington, Oregon, Nevada and California.\n\n\nA recent News Bulletin sent out by HARRP Executive Director William\nGregory, to all pool members stated, "This innovative product provides a level\nof protection from stove top fires unprecedented from all other products\nreviewed by HARRP. Stovetop fires are the leading cause of fire loss to\nmembers of HARRP and the Safe-T-element technology will help prevent these\nfires from happening".\n\n\nThe News Bulletin goes on to say, "This fire prevention product pays for\nitself in the reduction of fire risk, but goes much further in saving\nAuthorities precious funds. The Safe-T-element's functional life span is\ngreatly enhanced over traditional burners.
