This Washington State grant is a tribute to the KCHA and their efforts towards delivering a higher level of safety and energy efficiency to the people and the community they serve."\nOther Homeland Security Safe-T-element award recipients announced so far this year include the University of Miami, the Bellevue Washington Fire Department, Sandy Springs GA Fire Department and the Norfolk Virginia Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Grants were awarded through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Fire Prevention and Safety grant program.
