Pioneering Technology Receives U.S. Repeat Order after Successful Pilot Program

/NOT FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA/

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 7 /CNW/ - Lemontonic Inc. ("Lemontonic" or "the
Corporation") (TSX Venture: LEM) and Pioneering Technology Inc.
("Pioneering"), the company with which Lemontonic has previously announced a
proposed business combination constituting a reverse take-over (the "Business
Combination"), is pleased to announce that Unlimited Choices, of Portland,
Oregon will implement the Safe-T-element(TM) cooking system into their new
Save-A-Home program, with an initial 32-unit order.
Brenda Jose, Co-Founder and Executive Director for Unlimited Choices, a
non-profit organization serving at risk communities in Oregon and Washington
states said, "We have been pleased with the results of the pilot and now we
want to have Safe-T-element(TM) in inventory to install on a regular basis. We
have just created a new program called Save-A-Home to compliment our existing
Adapt-A-Home and Mend-A-Home programs. Save-A-Home will emphasize fire
prevention and safety. Safe-T-element(TM) has the potential to enable seniors
the freedom of independence for a longer period of time."
Unlimited Choices' nationally recognized, award winning programs are
primarily funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
and through grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for
Homeland Security
Pioneering's patented, Safe-T-element(TM) is engineered to help prevent
cooking fires and reduce the amount of electricity required to cook. Kevin
Callahan, President of Pioneering Technology said, "We are very pleased to be
endorsed by such a highly regarded organization and recognize that this
decision to implement Safe-T-element(TM) could influence key decision makers
throughout the U.S. This is a very positive demonstration of market acceptance
supporting our expansion into the U.S. market." According to Callahan, "With
the increasing numbers of seniors living in multi-residential units, there is
a concerted effort to protect these people from the dangers of cooking related
fires."
Jim Crawford, Fire Marshal for the Vancouver, Washington Fire Department
stated, "We are excited about the possibilities of this new technology.
Safe-T-element(TM) offers significant promise - and that is why we are
purchasing and testing these products in conjunction with our other fire
safety programs."
Earl Diment, Deputy Fire Marshal for Portland, Oregon states that "This
product has the potential for saving untold numbers of injuries and deaths. I
would like to see this technology on every new stove manufactured. Short of
that, I would urge the industry to do whatever it takes to make this product
available for easy distribution and installation in the marketplace."
According to the U.S. Fire Administration/National Fire Data Center,
Kitchen Fires Topical Fire Research Series, Volume 4 - Issue 4 October 2004,
"Cooking is the leading cause of fires and fire injuries. The primary factor
in the ignition of these fires was unattended equipment."
