The YMHA will replace all open coil stove top\nelements in three of its high rise apartment buildings. The demonstration was\nattended by residents and FEMA representatives and was recorded and\nbroadcasted on the local NBC affiliate's 6pm news broadcast.\n\n\nStove top fires are the number one cause of residential fires and\nunattended cooking is the leading cause. The Safe-T-element helps prevent\nthese fires when a heated stove is left unattended. Pioneering's\nSafe-T-element is the only technology of its kind that helps prevent these\nfires from starting in the first place.\n\n\nClifford Scott, Executive Director of the YMHA said, "Pioneering\nTechnology's Safe-T-element will help us to bring added protection to YMHA\nresidents. We applied for this grant because we are committed to reducing the\nnumber of cooking fires that our residents experience.
