[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 0235F Petra Diamonds Ld 05 January 2010 \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nImmediate Release\n\n\n\n5 January 2010\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPetra Diamonds Limited\n(\"Petra Diamonds\" or the \"Company\")\n\nKoffiefontein Mine Fatality\n\nPetra Diamonds announces, with deep regret, the death of a worker on Sunday 3 January 2010 at the Company's Koffiefontein mine in South Africa.\nThe incident, which occurred at approximately 9.30am in an underground workshop, was equipment related and not due to mining operations. No other employees were injured or endangered in the incident.\n\nNormal underground activities at Koffiefontein have been temporarily suspended whilst an investigation is carried out by mine management in conjunction with the South African Department of Mineral Resources.
