(NASDAQ: PESI) (the “Company”) today announced it has closed an underwritten public offering of 1,000,000 shares of its common stock, at $6.20 per share. The gross proceeds to the Company from this offering were approximately $6.2 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and other offering expenses. No warrants were issued in connection with the transaction. This offering was made pursuant to a shelf registration statement previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), which became effective on May 22, 2019, and a prospectus supplement filed with the SEC on October 4th, 2021, copies of which may be obtained from the SEC’s website at www.sec.gov. Wellington Shields & Co. LLC acted as the exclusive placement agent for the offering. Perma-Fix plans to use the aggregate net proceeds of approximately $5.8 million from the offering primarily to fund general growth capital as well as for general corporate purposes and working capital. Growth capital initiatives include, but are not limited to, expansion activities and upgrades at its four treatment facilities and related to the Test Bed Initiative.
