[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 9733R Pennant International Group PLC 11 May 2009 \n \nFor Immediate Release 11 May 2009\n\nPennant International Group plc: New Contract Award \n\nPennant Canada Limited Awarded Multi -Year Defence Services Contract \n\nwith a potential value of up to $CA 15.0 million\n\nPennant International Group plc ('Pennant'), the supplier of integrated logistic support solutions principally to the defence, rail, aerospace and naval markets, and products and services to a number of Government Departments, is pleased to announce that Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has awarded a services consulting contract to Pennant Canada Limited in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. \n\nThe contract calls for the provision of services to the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) to optimize the use and effectiveness of Pennant's OmegaPS suite of supportability software products in use throughout DND. The contract, which allows for services to be called upon on an 'as and when required basis', has been awarded for an initial two year term through to the 31st of March 2011 and has a maximum value of $CA 6.0 million. In addition, there are three one year extension options in the contract, which if exercised will extend the period of the contract through to the 31st of March 2014 and raise the maximum value of the contract to $CA 15 million. \n\nUnder the terms of the contract, Pennant Canada Limited will provide services to the Canadian DND which will include software development specific to DND customization of OmegaPS software, software installation services, delivery of formal training courses to DND personnel on the OmegaPS sof...
