[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Jan. 14 /CNW/ - Solitaire Minerals Corp. (TSX-V: SLT) and\nRaytec Development Corp. (TSX.V - RAY, Frankfurt - XZT) have contracted Durama\nEnterprises Ltd. of La Ronge, Saskatchewan to conduct extensive ground\ngeophysics on 3 mineral claims totalling 14,415 hectares, known as the "D"\nblock of claims, and 7 mineral claims, known as the "C" block of claims,\ntotalling 3,913 hectares, all located in relative proximity to the Key Lake\narea of the Athabasca Basin (in the eastern Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan).\nThis program will commence during approximately the week of January 21st,\n2008.\n\n\nAt the Little Cree River claim group (D Block of claims); located 45 km\nwest of the McArthur River uranium mine-site, a detailed airborne magnetic and\nVTEM survey was conducted by Geotech Ltd. in 2006. Condor Consulting Ltd.,\nrecognized experts in the field of airborne electromagnetics, performed\ndetailed interpretation of the results and provided final conclusions\nregarding the significance of the survey. The program at Little Cree will\ninvolve grid establishment and UTEM surveys to pinpoint the strongest\nconductive response for location of possible drill targets.\n\n\nA prominent magnetic low extends through the central and eastern part of\nthe block with localized highs on the western and eastern sides of the survey\narea. A VTEM anomaly sits directly over a portion of the magnetic low where\nthe strike changes from NNE to ESE suggesting there may be an underlying\nfolding event in the basement. The CDS section shows that the conductive zone\nis very close to the unconformity surface and is seen as the best chance of\nrepresenting a basement conductor.\n\n\nThe C5 claim area is located 24 km SW of the McArthur River uranium mine\nand is situated over 4.5 km of the 9 km long 'WV' trend identified by Cameco\nin their Wheeler River Project area. The original Wheeler River project\noutlined anomalous uranium and rare earth elements in many zones from Wheeler\nLake in the southwest, to the McArthur River uranium mine in the northeast.\nThe project area is situated along the P2 rift, which extends NE through the\nbasin and hosts the McArthur River Uranium mine, and other zones.\n\n\nOn the C5 claim the main structural feature is a thrust fault that\nvertically offsets the unconformity by approxi...
