[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Sept. 10 /CNW/ - Solitaire Minerals Corp. (TSX-V: SLT) is\npleased to report that a drilling contract has been signed with Cyr Drilling\nInternational to commence diamond drilling of uranium targets on its Riou Lake\nProject within approximately two weeks time. Drilling had been delayed for the\npast few months due to the unavailability of a suitable drilling rig.\n\n\nThe Riou Lake Project lies within the prolific Athabasca Basin of\nnorthern Saskatchewan about 40 kilometers southwest of the settlement of Stony\nRapids.\n\n\nAs previously reported, the targets to be tested lie where the\nintersection of faults believed to displace the Athabasca sandstone coincide\nwith strong soil gas hydrocarbon (SGH) geochemical anomalies. The SGH\nanomalies were interpreted by Activation Laboratories Ltd. of Ancaster,\nOntario. The two main areas of interest were designated the Prime Target Area\nand the Secondary Target Area on the Main Grid. Activation's report states,\n"There is a very high probability of uranium targets at the primary and\nsecondary target areas shown at the main grid".\n\n\nJim Kermeen, M.Sc.,P.Eng., the Qualified Person for this release states,\n"The SGH anomalies were selected by Activation without prior knowledge of the\ndetailed geology on the property; the fact that the two strongest anomalies\ncoincide within areas already deemed favourable based on structural geology\nmakes them very interesting drill targets".\n\n\nRed Lake North Update\n\n\nThe planned eleven hole 3300m summer drill program is progressing\nsuccessfully, and is currently on the seventh hole. The eleven holes will be\ndrilled at four distinct target areas along the projected extension of a gold\nbearing Sericite Schist trend as determined by Rubicon Minerals Corp., the\nproject operator.\n\n\nTerry Bursey, P.Geo, a qualified person under National instrument 43-101\nwill advance the Red Lake North project.\n\n\nAbout Solitaire Minerals Corp.\n\n\nSolitaire Minerals Corp.
