BOARD CHANGES
Peel Holdings p.l.c. announces the following Board appointments with effect from
16th December 2002.
Michael G. Butterworth - Property Director
David J. Glover - Construction Director
Peter J. Hosker - Legal & Corporate Affairs Director
Peter J. Nears - Strategic Planning Director
Announcing the changes to the Board of Peel Holdings the Chairman, John
Whittaker said:
'We are delighted to announce these appointments, all four new Executive
Directors have held senior management positions with the Group for sometime and
their extensive knowledge and understanding of the Group's businesses have
widely contributed to its development. We have a very strong senior management
team and these Board appointments will help further the Group's commercial
objectives.
Additionally Martin Hill will step down after 8 years, as a Non-Executive
Director with effect from 31st December 2002. His business relationship with the
Group and its associates spans 24 years most recently as a Director of Peel
Holdings and previously, as Managing Director of both the Manchester Ship Canal
Company and Highams. John Whittaker thanked Martin for his significant
contribution to these businesses, his invaluable support and guidance and wished
him well for the future'.
Additional Information
Michael G. Butterworth (age 49) a Chartered Surveyor, joined the Peel Group
following its acquisition of the Manchester Ship Canal Company in 1993. He was
appointed Managing Director of The Trafford Centre in 1995 and joined the
Group's Executive Committee as Property Director in 2000.
David J. Glover (age 45) a Chartered Civil Engineer, joined the Peel Group in
1988 as Regional Construction Manager; he was appointed Head of Construction
Division in 1992 and joined the Group's Executive Committee as Director of
Construction in 2000.
Peter J. Hosker (age 45) a Solicitor, joined the Peel Group in 1989 as Head of
the Legal Department and joined the Group's Executive Committee as Director of
Legal in 2000.
Peter J. Nears (age 47) a Chartered Town Planner, joined the Peel Group in 1988;
he was appointed Head of Land and Planning Division in 1991 and joined the
Group's Executive Committee as Director of Land and Planning in 2000.
