[{"type":"text","content":"\n Vislink PLC\n24 May 2006\n\n\n Vislink plc\n\n Annual General Meeting trading update - Wednesday 24th May 2006\n\nVislink plc ('the Group'), the leading supplier of microwave radio and satellite\ntransmission products for the broadcast and security markets and CCTV systems\nfor the marine security market, will hold its Annual General Meeting later this\nmorning.\n\nThe Chief Executive, Ian Scott-Gall, will give a trading update to the meeting\nincluding the following comments.\n\n'The Group has made a very strong start to the year. For the first four month's\ntrading in 2006\n\n • Order inflow is 35% ahead of the same period last year\n • Sales are 72% ahead of the same period last year\n • Adjusted operating profit for the period, being operating profit before\n the amortisation of acquired intangibles, is over 50% ahead of the\n £3.2million reported for the first six months of 2005\n\nBoth the international and domestic markets remain strong for MRC our US\nbroadcast business. MRC's recent success in winning two Broadcast industry\nawards at NAB 2006, the world's largest electronic media show, demonstrates\ncontinued progress with new product introductions.\n\nOur UK broadcast business continues to benefit from the growth of Link Research\nwith increasing demand for their new HD products and from sales growth and the\nreturn to profitability of Advent, the satellite communications business.\n\nHernis, the specialist marine safety and security business, has made an\nexcellent start to the year with orders currently 50% ahead of the first four\nmonth's of last year.
