Update
County Contact Centres PLC, which after conducting its recent business review
had sought sponsors or partners for its Internet directory, has now decided to
offer the directory business for sale. Traffic to the directory website has
been consistent over the past 6 months and the core data content of addresses,
e-mail contacts and website urls would provide a useful resource to interested
media or marketing businesses.
As documented in the Annual Report, the change of emphasis away from the
Internet towards our Call Centre activities, under the ANSABACK brand, has
continued to grow with the Call Centre taking a record number of inbound calls
in October, despite having taken a slight dip in September, ascribed like most
other businesses to the tragic events of the 11th in New York.
The encouraging prospect of more companies outsourcing to Call Centres is
evidenced by the number of new business accounts that have been acquired since
moving the operation into our current offices, with the sale of services
relating to the Call Centre business rising by 50% since acquisition.
The Company's own technical team hasve also developed a proprietary Call
Centre software system, which obviates the need to purchase additional agent
licenses from the existing software supplier, allowing further expansion
without annual renewal fees being incurred.
This software suite, written in ASP, has been branded under the name
CALLSCRIPTER and after evaluation by external consultants is now being offered
directly to Call Centres, Software Distributors and Telephone Switch
Manufacturers. Our suite provides our clients with much better management
information than previously avaliable and has the ability to quickly
facilitate amendments to operator scripts without the need for referral to
technical expertise.
By selling its remaining Internet activities, the Company will benefit from
additional cost savings and the prospect of the company reaching sustainable
profitability is likely to be considerably enhanced.
