(\"Pan American\" or the \"Company\"), (NASDAQ: PAAS; TSX: PAA) today\n announced that its union  at the Company's San Vicente mine in Bolivia\n has gone on strike effectively shutting down the entire operation.\n Personnel access has been restricted to only those needed to ensure\n maintenance of critical systems necessary to allow for a smooth\n restart.
