[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 4309H OMG PLC 20 June 2013  \n \n\n \n20 June 2013\nOMG plc\n(\"OMG\" or the \"Group\")\n \nOMG's Yotta DCL wins Isle of Wight highway survey contract\n \n- Contract will improve the Isle of Wight's highway network -\n- Isle of Wight is a new customer for Yotta DCL -\n \nOMG plc, (LSE: OMG), the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, announces that its highways technology arm, Yotta DCL has secured a contract with Island Roads to undertake the annual surveying of the Isle of Wight's highway network. \n \nIsland Roads is a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) partnership between the Isle of Wight Council, VINCI Concessions, Meridiam Infrastructure and Ringway. Island Roads is focused on improving the Isle of Wight's highway network and work is currently underway to upgrade, enhance and maintain the Isle of Wight's 804 km of rural and urban roads, 756 km of footways, 29 km of cycleways, over 12,000 street lights, 239 bridges, 612 structures, public car parks, signage, CCTV and street furniture.\n \nAs part of the agreement, Yotta DCL will perform SCANNER surveys on 1400 km of classified and unclassified roads as well as Skid Resistance Surveys on 650 km of classified roads. In addition, Yotta will also provide Detailed Visual Inspections for carriageway and footways.\n \nCommenting on the contract win Mark Boyle, Quantity Surveyor, Island Roads said:\n \n\"Yotta DCL's tender return was very comprehensive in terms of the level of information the company provided and we are pleased to be working with them on this important contract.
