[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 7341S OMG PLC 12 November 2013 \n \n\n12 November 2013\n \nOMG plc\n(\"OMG\" or the \"Group\")\n \nOMG's Yotta wins Hounslow Highways PFI Contract\n-Contract to survey the entire London Borough of Hounslow network-\n- Contract is worth up to £100,000 a year to Yotta - \n \nOMG plc, (AIM: OMG), the technology group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence, life science and engineering industries, announces that its infrastructure asset management technology arm, Yotta has secured a contract to provide a range of high-tech road surveys and consultancy services to Hounslow Highways, worth up to £100,000 a year. The contract will run for a year with the option to bid again on an annual basis. \n \nHounslow Highways is a Private Finance Initiative (\"PFI\") partnership between the London Borough of Hounslow, VINCI Concessions and Ringway. Hounslow Highways began operating the new highways service in the London Borough of Hounslow on 1 January 2013. The surveys that Yotta will provide include a combined Footway Network and Detailed Visual Inspection survey, Skid Resistance as well as Traffic Speed surveys (SCANNER).\n \nYotta has worked independently with Hounslow council for a number of years and over the course of this new PFI contract, Yotta will survey the entire Hounslow highway network; totaling 458 miles of footway and 259 miles of carriageway. Yotta has also produced a bespoke survey manual to improve the consistency and repeatability of its visual surveys which will enable Hounslow Highways to make the most from its expertise and support. \n \nBy way of background, this project is the result of a historic £800 million, 25-year deal signed by the council in 2013 to improve the highways infrastructure across the borough. In the first five years, during the Core Investment Period, approximately £100 million will be invested through the Special Purpose Vehicle to improve the borough's 259 miles of roads and 458 miles of footpaths.
