(OTC PINK:ORBT), an electronics manufacturer and software solution provider, today announced that its Electronics Group received a new developmental award for a next generation control device used in military aircraft for approximately $950,000.  The award includes engineering effort, program support and the delivery of pre-production units.  The engineering and program support effort are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2017 and delivery of pre-production units are scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2018.\n Mitchell Binder, President and CEO of Orbit International commented, “This new award, which we have been working on for over one year, is a great win for our sales and engineering teams.  The new control device is used in military aircraft and has not only the potential for new follow-on production awards but also the potential for replacement of existing control units that are fielded.”  Binder added, “Our Electronics Group has seen a significant boost in its business since the beginning of 2016 and this newest award provides great business potential for this segment for the next several years.  In addition, our Electronics Group is expecting to commence negotiations on several follow-on production opportunities which we expect to receive over the next two quarters, although timing is always an uncertainty.” Orbit International Corp., through its Electronics Group, is involved in the manufacture of customized electronic components and subsystems for military and nonmilitary government applications through its production facility in Hauppauge, New York.  Orbit’s Power Group, also located in Hauppauge, NY, designs and manufactures a wide array of power products including AC power supplies, frequency converters, inverters, uninterruptible power supplies, VME/VPX power supplies as well as various COTS power sources. The Company also has a sales office in Thousand Oaks, CA and a facility in Louisville, KY dedicated to the design and manufacture of gun weapons systems.
