[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 6422I Oracle Coalfields PLC 21 June 2017 \n\nEnvironmental and Social Impact Assessment for Power Plant\n21 June 2017\n \n Oracle Coalfields PLC\n(\"Oracle\", the \"Company\" or the \"Group\")\n \nPower Plant Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Public Hearing Date\n \nOracle Coalfields PLC (AIM:ORCP), the UK energy developer of a combined lignite mineral resource and mine mouth power plant located in the Thar desert in the south-east of Sindh Province, Pakistan (the \"Project\"), announces that the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (\"SEPA\") has set the date of 13 July 2017 for the public hearing of the Company's power plant Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (\"ESIA\"). The meeting will be held in Thar Block VI. \n \nThe ESIA and supporting documents, including an environmental and social management and monitoring plan, were prepared to assess the potential environmental and social impacts of the Project and to identify any measures that would be needed to reduce or eliminate any significant impacts. The ESIA was carried out in accordance with national legislation and where applicable, international methodologies were used to assess whether the project met the relevant environmental and social standards. The ESIA has been prepared by Mott MacDonald Limited (UK and Pakistan offices). Final approval of the ESIA is expected to be received shortly after the public hearing and is given by SEPA by way of a \"No Objection Certificate\".\n \nThe ESIA has been placed on the Company's website: www.oraclecoalfields.com . \n \nShahrukh Khan, CEO of Oracle said:\n \n\"This is a further step in finalising the necessary approvals for the Project.
