[{"type":"text","content":"\n NWF Group PLC\n12 April 2006\n\n\nEmbargoed until 07.00 12 April 2006\n\n\n NWF GROUP PLC\n APPOINTMENT OF NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR\n\nNWF Group plc ('NWF Group' or the 'Group'), the diversified sales and\ndistribution company, announces the appointment of David Robert Southworth, as a\nNon Executive Director of the Group with effect from 1 May 2006.\n\nDavid Southworth, FCCA, age 57 was Chief Executive and then Executive Chairman\nof P&P plc, which subsequently became Skillsgroup plc, a market leader in the IT\ntechnical training market. David was instrumental in transforming the business\nfrom a small private product-based business, to a major provider of people-based\nIT consultancy and training. Over the course of his fourteen year tenure at P&P\n/ Skillsgroup he oversaw more than 20 acquisitions, flotation in 1988, and grew\nthe business to a market capitalisation of over £300 million.\n\nDavid comes to NWF with a wide-ranging understanding and experience of both\nquoted and unquoted companies the majority of which operate from the North West\nof England, where he has spent the majority of his working life. He has been and\nis currently chairman of a number of diverse businesses, listed and private,\nwhose activities stretch from manufacture to marketing and software.\n\nGraham Scott, Chief Executive of NWF commented: 'I am delighted that David is\njoining us and look forward to the valuable contribution his appointment will\nmake to the Group. He has already more than demonstrated his abilities and\nknowledge of growing a business both organically and via acquisition through his\nwork at Skillsgroup.
