Laxton, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, has been promoted to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer effective January 1, 2026.  David A. Sumoski, who has served as COO since 2021, will retire effective June 13, 2026, after more than thirty years of service.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMr. Laxton began his career with Nucor in 2003 as General Manager of Business Development and was promoted to Vice President in 2014. He has served as Nucor's CFO and Executive Vice President since 2022. The Company will conduct a search for a new Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Laxton will continue to serve in the role until a new CFO is appointed.\n\"Over the past 22 years, Steve has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic vision and has been instrumental to Nucor's success.
