Novo Nordisk announced that starting Monday, May 4, Ozempic® (semaglutide) tablets 1.5 mg, 4 mg, and 9 mg will be available for adults with type 2 diabetes in the US. Ozempic® is the only FDA-approved oral peptide GLP-1 medication for adults with type 2 diabetes indicated not only to improve blood sugar, along with diet and exercise, but also to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events (MACE) such as heart attack, stroke, or death in those who are also at high risk for these events.1 Oral
