[{"type":"text","content":"OTC Markets Group Inc. (OTCQX: OTCM), operator of Open, Transparent and Connected financial marketplaces, today announced the following companies are verified for trading on OTCQB®, the venture marketplace for entrepreneurial and development stage companies, effective December 19, 2014:Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc.(OTCQB: BNET) – Bion's patented technology platform provides comprehensive and cost-effective treatment of livestock waste and recovers valuable assets from the waste stream, including renewable energy, nutrients and clean water. Bion's technology can deliver substantial cost savings and improved efficiencies in two separate but related industries: water treatment and dairy/livestock production. Bion produces large-scale,verified reductions of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) that EPA calls \"the greatest water quality problem in the U.S.A.\" Billions of dollars are already being spent to reduce nutrients in the Chesapeake Bay, Great Lakes and Gulf of Mexico; costs are escalating dramatically. To deal with looming compliance costs in the hundreds of billions of dollars, many states are developing policies that address agriculture, the largest unregulated source of nutrients in most watersheds. Bion systems can remove and recover up to 95% of the nutrients in livestock wastewater at a fraction of the cost of traditional downstream treatment. Bion's technology is the only one at this time that generates verified nutrient reductions from wet livestock waste dairy, beef, and swine that can be used as a qualified offset to EPA nutrient reduction mandates. Livestock waste is among the largest contributors of excess nutrients, representing a very large potential market. Additionally, greenhouse gases are reduced by 90%, ammonia emissions are virtually eliminated, and pathogens, antibiotics and hormones in the waste stream are greatly reduced. The livestock industry is under increasing scrutiny for these impacts as well. Realization of livestock production's environmental issues, coupled with higher energy costs and climate change-related drought, has significantly impacted the industry's economics as well. Using Bion's technology, new state-of-the-art production facilities can be permitted and developed in strategic locations (that substantially reduce transportation costs) th...
